When you have faith good things take place in your life is all I can truly say. Today I woke up early. It was unusual because I never do get up early due to my late schedule in life. For instance I am just coming back home from a battle that I just one at Sin Sin in the lower east side of Manhattan and it is 4:40am. Oh my god am I excited about winning. I truly had no idea I would and started my day so early by this time at night who would have thought I would be in any shape to compete for money and respect and pure fun. It was so amazing and I feel like all my friends were there to see it take place and share the wonderful energy God put for today for the grabbing through this incredible universe of coincidences. Before the battle Tah from the Bush ripped an amazing show that I am so happy I got to see. If it wasn't for Florence calling me and setting it up for us to go I would have totally missed it. Today happened to be the first time Florence came to join me at Sin Sin and as well as others such as Emily and people from around the world who were truly meant to be there and experience that night. It also was the first time I attended yoga from taking a month off. I went to class and enjoyed finally speaking to my body again. It was exhilarating to say the least. A friend from the yoga class by the name of Mace shared a great walking and talking moment with me as we have done in the past just sharing back and forth after class and it was interesting that we didn't know we have the same birthday until today. Before yoga class I was thinking I might run the risk of being late and ran into my brother along the way who had some great news. I was right on time. Tatiana my new neyba hooked me up with some salad that we bought Sunday for her new in my building which I some how managed to hook up due to another neyba who is a blessing and like my aunt and family. Before heading off to yoga and meeting up with Tatiana for a chat I was creating a music disk that I finally finished of all inspirational house music for my yoga studio, as well as a live recording CD of Sin Sin when I was the host last Monday. That was a random surprise in itself because my neyba from across the street who I haven't seen in over 6 or more years came down and joined me at Sin Sin and spread love over the mic with the Sin Sin mc's and dope crowd. Mariella came back and it was the first night she had been back since her trip to China so that in itself was amazing. Winning this battle will enable me to hit up CT where my neyba now lives so we can build on his open mic night. I was kinda not aware of how I was going to get that accomplished. Phew. But yeah where was I oh yeah inspirational house music dancing during the day as well as some creating the live CD but I was also using my computer to compose two beats which were hotter than anything I have created thus far. Cool tracks for sure and one was inspired by my time at Puck Fair this Friday oddly enough. Who says corny hits can be listened to these days and then the inspiration toward newer music of our time. Oh man I am not P diddy anyhow but yeah the beats were fresh and the crew that I will be bringing to you from which I am building with now is sick so get ready cause here we come. The sky is the limit like someone once reminded me. Whether God is a man or a woman doesn't matter the fact that he/she created a universe which such a scale and depth that the mind cannot comprehend it is the only thing that matters and the fact that through it all he/she keeps us in check and helps us along the way once we let ourselves understand something greater has control and to enable it to steer you straight. Ok that was a run on sentence. All I am saying is through the ups and downs hold your head up high, believe in yourself and and keep the faith. Your day will come.
P.S. Many people have been brought into my life that love me and continuously spread compassion toward myself and my aspirations in life. From my mom to the incense selling neyba of mine Abu on the corner of 11th St and 1st Ave. Thank you from the bottom of my soul to the top of the highest and widest star in the furthest galaxy.
